About Me!

I am what I call an "excited sharer". Whenever I find something new or create something that I consider fantastic, I need to share it with someone. My mother takes the brunt of most of my sharings. Lucky mom! I have created this blog to document some of my projects, with a how-to tutorial for my future self, or anyone else that cares to stop by.

About Me....

Let's see here, I'm a Sagittarius, love long walks on the beach and chocolate... oh wait, this isn't supposed to be that kind of description.

I am a mother of two boys. My second kiddo was just born in December. He happens to be a good sleeper, meaning that I have time on my maternity leave to do all the things on my if-I-have-time-I'll-create/learn/make-(fill in the blank) list.  In the past month I've learned how to use my serger, embroidery machine and have completed, what seems like, a zillion fun projects.

Wheels on the Bus Party

My two year is obsessed with school buses. This love was amplified after attending a local bus demolition derby. This year we hosted his bus themed party at the local library. I saw other libraries have birthday packages including story time; ours only offers a large space for a small fee. But, hey, I can play librarian story-time reader for a party! (Note the below contains some affiliated links, some FREEBIES, and other direct links to tools or service sites. On pixlr.com, I photo-shopped a picture of my son and added him to the bus on the invite. I was going to print at home but the quality was medioc...

Cruise Ship Lego Kits

Dusted off this old blog to share something fun! Here’s the full parts list, instructions, and templates for the LEGO kits we put together as Fish Extender gifts on our Disney Cruise. I know lots of people have made versions of these before, but when I went to create ours, I couldn’t find a clear parts list or ready-to-go templates anywhere—so I made my own! Hopefully, this makes it easier for anyone else looking to do the same. Cruise Ship Instructions
