Homegrown Popcorn

This year, we grew POPCORN! More specifically, strawberry popcorn. Here is how to pop it!: Microwave: throw the entire cob into a paper bag, twist the top to close and microwave for 2ish minutes. Popcorn popper: remove kernels from cob. Follow popper instructions. Stovetop: locate a decent sized pan. Add oil, enough to let the kernels dance freely. Turn on medium heat. After 3 mins, add a couple tester kernels to the pan. Once popped, add remaining kernels and cover while swooshing the kernels back and forth in the pan. Once the last few stop popping, remove from heat and directly put in a bowl.

SPACE Party!

Do you have a kid that loves space?! Our oldest has had this intergalactic love for years, now. For his 5th birthday, this past summer, he was bummed he couldn't have a big party due to the pandemic but we decked out a rented golf cart at the campground we were at and when we came home, we had a drive by birthday parade. Tractor Parade Party

We LOVE parties over here. A party during a pandemic, however, makes it a little tricky! This year for our son's third birthday, we invited friends, and family to drive by for a tractor parade. Luckily for him, many friends and family nearby have tractors that they could enter in the parade! Treat bags were distributed to party goers and cookies too! Treat Bags: Ornaments: For these we added a personalized label to the back. Camera Man Gift

My dad is notorious for his daily workout. For Christmas, I purchased a water bottle as a component of his gift. My husband claimed this was a lame gift... so, I spiced it up a bit by adding a camera lover play on words to the exterior. "I shoot people & sometimes I cut off their heads". 🤣 Water bottle  (Amazon) Vinyl (Amazon - Currently only $6 for 12 inches by 6 feet) Silhouette Design (Free Download) (Note the above contains affiliated links, a FREEBIE. Wheels on the Bus Party

My two year is obsessed with school buses. This love was amplified after attending a local bus demolition derby. (He now believes all school buses bang into each other, stating "bus, BANG!", with coordinating hand gestures indicating a collision. We'll have to retrain his psyche but I digress...) This year we hosted his bus themed party at the local library. I saw other libraries have birthday packages including story time; ours only offers a large space for a small fee. But, hey, I can play librarian story-time reader for a party! (Note the below contains some affiliated links, some FREEBIES, and other direct links to tools or service sites. On pixlr.com, I photo-shopped a picture of my son and added him to the bus on the invite. I was going to print at home but the quality was medioc
